(More customer reviews)Great looking stereo. Lots of great features as stated in the ad. I am going to cut to the chase and give my negetative feedback. The things that are NOT stated in the ad. 1. Do not loose the remote because you cannot advance your CD playing music / DVD Play / SD Card / USB Input without it. 2. Before I bought it, I had searched for the max size SD card it could hold. I could not find it so it turned out to be no bigger than 1Gb SD card. Does not support high capacity SD cards (4Gb or larger). Very poor option for this day and age. Stereo does not incorporate giros that will shutdown the DVD play while driving. Don't fall for the BOSS DVD Black box ad. Just run the brake wire to the ground and it plays fine. Good point is the stereo has audio/video out that you can run a RCA cable to the back seat to an external screen and close the stereo LCD while it plays to the backseat. 3. Stereo does not have enough treble adjustment. You may find the need to invest in a passive EQ to add if you want more high pitches. Supports plenty and almost to much bass at low settings. 4. USB out, you may and will have to buy a mini-USB to mini-USB plug if you want to ad an external hard drive or an Mini USB to USB female for thumb drive. 4. Radio illumination should have multi colors adjustment to tone down the BRIGHT blue to Meduim Blue to Soft Blue. The Bright blue is the only setting and is really bright. 5. Once again, Do not lose the remote, radio is usless without it to do any setting change. 6. Bluetooth Mic for calls is very weak. Have to almost yell to get callers to hear. Radio should have incorporated an input to install your own mic. 7. Zoom feature, if your watching a widescreen movie and you, like me do not like the black bars, can zoom in 1 ot 2 to get rid of the bars. cool feature. 8. LCD clarity isn't as good as the picture you see on the ad. Is a bit fuzzy even when I just watched Avatar. A high resolution movie. 9. Don't lose the remote. 10. Go back and read the features in the ad and read this again and make your decision. Overall installation, very easy even for a beginner. All lead clearly marked. Scaloe of 1 to 10. I give this radio a 4. Check Ebay in a couple weeks and you may find my Boss radio on it for a good price. Have a great Navy day!

I am a PhD student in History. I do most of my research in libraries. Some of these libraries do not have copy machines or scanners available, so when I found this product, I thought I had found a perfect solution for scanning multi-page articles from books and periodicals from non-circulating libraries. I am guessing this product was not designed with someone with my needs as a user.
For brevity's sake, I will stick to 3 fatal problems:
- Does not scan as .pdf. Why does this *document* scanner only scan to formats primarily meant for *images* formats (i.e. jpeg, tif)? I have no answer. WHAT THIS MEANS: you will NOT be able to scan multi-page documents as a single document. You will have to scan each page as a separate file. But wait, it gets better...
- The scanner stays "on" only as long as it takes to scan and save. After each file is done saving, it automatically turns off. WHAT THIS MEANS: Any time you have to scan more than one page in a row, you will have to turn on the scanner and wait for it to initialize. "Wow, that's crummy, but I can deal with that," you say...it gets better:
- Do you have a Mac by any chance? (I'm not sure whether this applies to PCs). You know that pesky message that pops up whenever a USB device is pulled out without ejecting it properly? The one that says you may have corrupted the information? WELL, since the device automatically shuts off about 5 seconds after the last active command, as soon as it mounts to your desktop, you have 5 seconds to get any files off of the device, or it will TURN OFF, resulting in an IMPROPER DEVICE REMOVAL error message, not to mention, you will not have your files.
THE SOLUTION: If you are a user with my needs, just use a digital camera. If you have a steady hand, the quality will be virtually the same. You will be able to take images of documents WIDER THAN 10 inches, and while you may not be able to capture them as .pdfs either, you will save a lot of time (I forgot to mention, each file takes 5-10 seconds to save with the DocuPen after scanning). Heck, I've been using my iPhone camera, and it's worked about a lot better than this product.

(More customer reviews)Easy to install just slide off the old one and put this one in it's place. I ran the wire around the window and ran the power off the fuse box. Just test the one that is always on and one that is turned on with key. It looks nice works great and you can do it in about an hour or just plug it in to the socket. The back-up cam is easy too just hook it up to the back-up wire connected to the bulb and your done. Everyone wants me to put one in for them.

(More customer reviews)The CS-3070 is a light industrial batch bar-code scanner. It's basically a scanner, a blue-tooth device and a memory stick shoved in a plastic case. It scans either to memory or directly to bluetooth. It works as advertised. It's easy to get the data out.
The three negatives I have to say about it are:
1. The USB port is available underneath a cover that is not that easy to pop out.
2. Since it is basically a fob, and even has two holes for a lanyard, it would be nice if they included one. My operators carry it around their neck.
3. No full documentation was included. Perhaps this was just my purchase, but I had to find and download 2 manuals. Judging by some of its settings, it appears that the CS-3070 can do more than advertised, but I can't find the documentation.
I plan on getting more.

(More customer reviews)I don't know where to begin about this DVD Player. I've installed it and have been testing it for a while now. This player is awesome. I put it in a 2001 grand prix gt. I was worried that the screen was going to hit my air vents, but you can adjust the angle of the screen. I have not used the bluetooth, or sirius. This unit does not come with an iPod cable, but you can run your computer cable to the usb port on this and control it from the screen with the ipod receiving a charge as well (you must buy a specialized cable from clarion to hook directly into your ipod). The unit does allow you to upgrade to navigation later on if you want to add that, as well as a rear view camera to be added later on as well. I do have 2 12" Rockford p3's hooked up to this as well as a 1000W amp, and this unit handles them beautifully, well maybe even a little too well because of how loud my car can get. I did ground my cable and am able to watch movies with the flip of a switch. It is quite easy to do (I know almost nothing about cars and I did this myself). There are so many features about this player I haven't even gotten to explore yet. The only downside to this player, is that if you are listening to music, lets say Metallica's S&M album, where the music is continuous from track to track, this player does pause between tracks when the album is supposed to be seamless between tracks. Still, overall, I'm more than happy to have this DVD player in. A lot of jealous friends

LG LSB316 Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer Review

(More customer reviews)We just purchased a new 55" LED TV for our great room and needed a sound system (as is well known, the flat panel tv speakers are horrible). We did research for several days and had finally settled on either the Sony CT150 or the Boston Acoustics TVEEM20. Both had recieved great reviews. The problem with Sony is that the subwoofer is wired and contains all the inputs as well as the sensor for the remote. Thus, the subwoofer must be near the TV and easily visible (given the wall mounted location in our room, its a pain to run 10 foot cables through the wall). The problem with the BA is that it only has the circa 1980 RCA input (which few modern TVs seem to have as an output option). After much research we decided we had to settle for one or the other and went to Best Buy to test them. Once there, we stumbled upon the LG which hadn't even been stocked yet (just saw the box in the corner). After checking out the specs, we were delighted to see that LG had settled the problems! Wireless subwoofer can sit out of sight yet provides great effect. The sound bar has two optical inputs, plus a USB port and is Bluetooth enabled. All ports are on the bar, so you only need a short single optical cable from the TV to the bar.
Set up took about 2 minutes; plug in the bar, the subwoofer and plug in the optical cable. That's it. Be sure to turn off your TV's speakers to avoid any issues with sound bleeding.
Sound is great, assuming you have realistic expectations. This is not a $2000 home theater system so don't expect that. However, for a $300-$350 range soundbar, the sound is outstanding! Other than a tiny bit of static when set on a couple of the pre-installed sound effects (which goes away when we tried a different setting), its great. Plenty of power for our great room which is open on two sides and has 20 foot ceilings open to a loft (basically the worst acoustical set up you can imagine). Yet the LG puts out plenty of power; haven't even turned it up more than half way as even that was blasting. Great range of sound as far as we can tell; seems to hand music, movies, games, etc very well (again, use the different sound settings to get the best effects depending on source and type of content).
The Bluetooth sync is extremely easy. My wife had the Ipod running through the system by the time I was done putting away the box. The LG has a specific sound setting for MP3 files that upscales the frequencies, etc. The sound is really amazing.
If we had to come up with any negatives, we only have 2 very minor ones. My wife doesn't like the look as much as the Sony (the LG speakers are exposed, so it looks a bit more industrial); but even this is relative and very minor. We both agree its stylish and low profile. The only other negative is that it won't sync with our DVR universal remote, so we have to use the sound bar remote for volume control, and the other for everything else. Not really a big deal.
In sum, we stumbled upon this by accident (didn't even know LG made a soundbar, which is ironic given that we had bought a new LG LED tv just a few days earlier) and couldn't be more pleased. If you're looking for a good, low profile sound system for your tv but don't want to go to a full theater system, this is a good option. If you're an audio snob, you probably won't like it, but then again you probably sholdn't be looking at soundbars anyway.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit for my vehicle, and couldn't be happier! Very solid unit, lots of options, fairly straightforward install. My only complaint is the minimal installation instructions, presumably because Clarion prefers that their stereos be professionally installed, however, I didn't really have any problems installing it.
UPDATE: DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE LIMIT OF THE NUMBER OF SONGS ON A USB DRIVE! Manual says 1500 max...I have 2350 on an 8GB drive, and it is rocking just fine...

The touch screen is beautiful and very responsive, which is really impressive. I owned an iPhone (I still own it) but I always wanted an Android device. Have tried Sony Xperia before and it's a disaster. All the issues I had with Xperia like lagging and unresponsive screen etc are nowhere to be found on Streak. Everything is smooth. The SWYPE keyboard is a genius! GPS is very accurate even without the data connection. I can use the Streak as an external USB device to copy and move files (not only on PC, but works on Mac too). Wi-Fi tethering is a breeze! I am seriously impressed by the built-in quality of Streak. But I do think Dell did a poor job to promote this phone. All we heard on Android is from HTC, Moto, Samsung etc but I am glad I chose the Streak.

(More customer reviews)I just installed this product in my 2000 Toyota 4Runner and already love it. I initially bought a Kenwood flip screen but went it back because when it flipped open, it blocked all my air controls. I have no plans of sending this stereo back.
- Price - Can't beat this price. It sells on Crutchfield (who I love too) for about $100 more.
- Sound - The sound coming out of this thing with factory speakers and no additional amp or woofer is fantastic. There are preloaded rock/r&b/country/ etc setting plus 3 user settings where you can customize your own settings and save them. Very nice. I plan on visiting www.Crutchfield.com to take advantage of their unbelievable speaker sale and upgrade that as well.
- Picture - I can not believe how crisp the picture on this unit is. I watched The Bourne Supremacy and it looked and sounded fantastic. With the numerous color options available on the display panel, you can customize it to your personal likings.
- Accessories - I bought a new unit solely to play my Ipod in because the FM transmitter I was using with the factory stereo was a piece of crap. I figured I would splurge and get the DVD player as well. So, the Ipod plugs right in the usb port with the sub cable provided with your Ipod. You can do everything audio with it, but need the separate adapter to watch videos or podcasts off it. With just using the usb port however, you have complete function over the Ipod with the touchscreen which is gorgeous. I don't currently use the Bluetooth or Rear View Camera, but will at some point and will be sure to comment again. I do not have steering wheel controls.
- Tuner - Gives you 18 FM presets and 6 A presets. I don't even have 18 FM stations I like so I guess I'm overwhelmed.
- Installation - Installing a car stereo on your own may seem like a daunting task, but it is supremely easy and you are wasting money by going to a place like Best Buy or something to have them install it. Believe me, anyone can do it even if you have ZERO mechanical experience. The only thing I would recommend would be purchasing the installation kit from Crutchfield or from Amazon if it is available. I suggest this because while this unit may "fit" in your car, it may not have the same connectors that your current unit has. The installation kit from Crutchfield comes with step-by-step instructions and a support number with people that know exactly what they are doing. I installed this unit with only a screwdriver, needle nose pliers, a wire splicer and about a dozen RED butt connectors. All the wires may seem intimidating, but if you can visually match up one red wire with another red wire and a green wire with another green wire and so on, then you can install this unit. Without the installation kit, you may have trouble figuring out how to get your old unit out and you may not have properly connecting plugs. Oh yeah, don't forget to take out the factory amp as this unit has a built in one that is more than likely better that the factory one.
- Remote - Nice little throw in. Alot of units do not come with the remote and cost you an extra 20-40 bucks sometimes. Best thing about it is controlling the volume I guess. Like most, I'm capable of looking at the stereo intermittently while driving to find what I need.
Reasons for not giving 5 stars:
- Can't upload personal images. Some units in this price range allow you to upload personal images and display them as your background. No big deal though.
- Can't display album art from Ipod without buying additional adapter. Who cares.
- It only has a single disc changer. Would be nice to be able to store a few dvds or cds in there, but I can get over it.
- Unlike the previous post claims, this does not have a detachable face. The upgraded JVC AVX820 does.
Hopefully this wasn't too much and it helped your decision making. I wold not hesitate recommending this product to anyone who asks.
I will write more in another couple of months or so to see how it holds up over time and use.

This is in my woman's car now; as I went old school Clarion in mine.
Honestly; this offers more features than the Clarion, but the Clarion sounds a hair better in my car.......
This pairs with your phone for phone calls and music streaming.
If listening to the radio (FM), it actually displays the songs being played......
The remote is nice because it allows you to switch folders on your thumb drive instead of having to reach up and do this on the deck.
All in all..... 4.75 stars........

(More customer reviews)I have been using TomTom Car Navigation products for several years now. This is my 4th unit. The last unit I possessed was the 'TomTom GO 740 Live'. So I was excited about the newest offering from this company. Having used this product for a few days, here's my 2 cents.. (please remember, this is being reviewed in relation to other TomTom products. I am not comparing this to units from other manufacturers)
The Good..
** This unit is sleeker and better looking than any of the previous models.
** The 5" screen makes a world of difference compared to the 4.3" inches on most other models. So if you can, opt for the 2505 and not the 2405.
** The screen is brighter than other models. Seems to hold well in bright sunlight.
** Very crisp and pleasing visuals. The text and graphics are sharper and more responsive.
** Extremely quick planning and re-planning of routes - that's the new Turbo Routing feature. Works pretty well.
** The car dock is very innovative. Sturdier and better mechanics. The magnetic process needs a little getting used to, especially when undocking.
** The automatic time zone setting for the Clock is a nice feature.
** Comes with Lifetime Map updates and Traffic.
The Bad...
** There is no docking station! You need to plug the USB cable manually for syncing/charging with the PC.
** For Traffic updates, the unit needs to be plugged into the car charger since the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver is integrated into the car charging cable.
** No LIVE services. So if you need Google service or latest gas prices, you are out of luck.
** No memory card slot. So if you run over the 4GB limit, better start deleting stuff.
** No FM transmitter. No option to play voice through the the radio.
** No music player.
** No compass option.
** Comes preloaded with only 1 English 'Computer' voice - 'Stephanie'. No options to download Voices!! Seriously, TomTom??!! (Update: TomTom says more will be available soon. No timeline yet).

The Ugly..
** As others have documented, no customization is possible - yet. Cannot update/download Voices, POIs, Maps, Color Schemes etc. You live with what comes pre-loaded. No timeline on when options would be available.
And a couple of irritants:
** The 'next street name' that displays at the top right hand corner is too small to read relative to everything else on the screen.
** When making a phone call using the unit's bluetooth, the call status bar at the top blocks the 'next street name'. And you can't get rid of that status bar until you hang up. That's pretty dumb.
In short, this is not quite a step up from the 740 as I had expected. The focus here seems to have been on the style, not much on the substance. Having used this for a couple of weeks now, I've grown to like it. Extremely efficient and accurate. If you're looking for a product that can accurately and efficiently get you from Point A to Point B, this is the one for you.
This seems like a product that was rushed into the US market without the proper support structure behind it. This is the US version of the TomTom 'Go LIVE 1005' launched recently in Europe. The customer service reps know very little about this product. There are no User Manuals online yet. The PC sync to the web-based MyTomTom is an utter joke.
Bottom line, if I had to do it all over again, I'd stick with the 740 until TomTom gets its act together on this one.

(More customer reviews)I have to say that I was very sceptical when I ordered the phone. In the first place I chose it because compared to similar phones like HTC Mozart or others it is really cheap. But I was wrong, the phone is really great.
It's very robust (it fell down once already because of me) and the keyboard is assembled accurately, it does not seem like it would break soon. The battery lasts for two whole days with average use (80 messages per day/ 1 hour of talking) and I only need to plug it in every other evening. The touchscreen does work great, although it is not as accurate as the iPhone's touchscreen.
There are no free apps for this phone, but that does not bother me because I wouldn't download them anyways. But if you want a lot of apps, you chould check out Android phones.
All in all I recommend this phone without restrictions. Kaufempfehlung!

Far superior to Panasonic and other brands. Sound quality is very good, style is great and the features are very easy to use and technically advanced. I like the fact that I can program one handset with all my phone numbers in the directory and it automatically transfers the directory to all my other handsets. The blue tooth feature works! Now I can answer my cell phone thru this phone system. My house is 2 stories and the range of the handsets reaches every room with no static or interference. Only feature I wish Vtech had on this phone is the warning light they had on some of their earlier models that lets you know when you have a voice mail message waiting. Voice mail messages show up in the lcd display. I just ordered additional handsets for my house since we like this system so much

Sony XAV-70BT 7" In-Dash Touchscreen DVD/CD/MP3 Receiver with Bluetooth Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned this unit for a week which included a roadtrip and I must say that this device is one of the greatest sound enhancing products I have bought for either my computer, tv, or car.
First I will say that I own a SUV with the stock system and stock speakers. I self installed the Sony xav-70bt, and I am a huge sony fan...so I am a little biased towards their products.Now on to the unit. After installation when you turn the unit on you get your first experience on how unbelievable the video is. I saw this unit in a store next to the new Pioneer flagship unit and the new Kenwood upper ranged double din unit (both costing over $1000) and there was no comparison in the contrast ratio or color quality. This unit truelly stands out as an in-dash unit with HD quality.
Now onto the sound. I have always done custom stereo/speaker units on all of my vehicles. I have replaced all the speakers in my old Jeep attached to a mediocre Aiwa amplifier and found that the quality of sound was just OK. One of the reasons I chose the sony xav-70bt was because of the many sound features this unit offers. Besides repeating the specs sony.com has I will say that the listening position feature when used correctly creates a surround sound experience that I feel compares to top of the line quality (and I have stock speakers!) The low pass and high pass features create crisp clean sound and low non distorting bass with all genres of music. What amazes me is that with the four speakers in the car the Xav creates this fifth "ghost" speaker in the middle of your car and when you close your eyes you will think that the speaker exists...its amazing.
Lastly on to the features. The usb connection does not list the fact that the unit will only play the first 2000 songs of that device. (My 32gb flash drive is useless after the first 4gb) This feature is just plain stupid if you ask me...and has not been advertised anywhere. As an alternative people that have ipods can play their full library through their ipod, but for anti-ipod-ites a Sony Mp3 player will also do the trick.
One of the surprises I got when opening the box was that there was an included microphone for the Bluetooth feature. Let me tell you that the extra money you spend for the BT over the Xav-60 is well worth the money. With cops stepping up their cell phone tickets a unit like this serves the purpose very well. During the roadtrip I was able to keep my phone in my pocket and talk and make calls with simple, and very intuitive buttons. Not only this, but the person on the other line doesn't even know im in my car...and I called a lot of people to test it...it works great. Actually better then great.
Overall..A++. This unit belongs in any music enthusiast who wants to enhance their car rides.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this to replace an old Radio in my 95 Jeep GC. Space is very limited in the radio compartment. The BOSS BV9997BI MultiMedia player comes with a wad of wires, hard wired into the radio back that also has two large wiring connector cubes. To fit all this in, plus the radio wiring adapter and IPOD cable, entensive cutting had to be done to the Jeep radio area. The radio comes with a cable for an IPOD that must be stuck into the back of the radio, rather than having an outlet on the face of the radio. If you will be installing a backup camera, purchase it and do it during the initial BOSS install, or you will have to remove the radio again. The 7" display is very good, but if you retract it and attempt to use the display on the faceplate, it is extremely dim to the extent it is totally inadequate viewing in the daylight. It can also be a function that the lettering and background are both light colors and the text is very thin. It is easy to read at night, in the dark, and actually could use a dimmer, but has none.
The common on/off as part of the volume switch does not work with the BOSS. Rather, you have to press and hold a SOURCE button for that function. Attempting to insert a CD or DVD does not automatically select the function to play it. You must first select the media by pressing and releasing the SOURCE button. Original CDs with painted-on labels work fine, but I inserted some CDs with press-on labels and had difficulty getting them to eject. There appears to be too close a tolerance in the mechanism to accomodate labeled CDs without problems. (Letting the BOSS cool down allowed me to extract the CD's.) Adjusting the channel balance could be made easier by adding a joystick-like button to the faceplate. Manually adjusting the balance with the touchscreen is a challenge and definitely not for use while on the go. Faceplate adjusting is even worse. The detachable front panel only detatches the buttons in the lower faceplate. It is held on by two small, fragile looking pieces of plastic that I hope don't break off.
Not all functions are on the faceplate. Some can only be accessed using the remote control. So don't misplace or forget to take the remote. The instruction manual is extremely poor, missing explanations for highlighted, numbered functions and having clear explanations. BOSS really should employ someone with native English skills to write and edit their manuals.
Although the concept of incorporating all the latest bells and whistles into a unit is great, BOSS falls short in making the package easy and working well. I will pursue purchasing an extra remote and frontpanel, in case they break or are lost. I cannot recommend this to others. I also wonder if BOSS's other flip-out players don't suffer from the same problems, since most seem to be design and documentation problems.
