(More customer reviews)4 days after receiving this product I found that several of the keys did not work properly; namely the Delete key, the T and Y keys. They would only work intermittently and it wasn't clear what actually caused them to work or stop working. My guess is a faulty connection within the keyboard itself. Which makes me think that many of these "keyboards in a case" may suffer from the same problem: namely that the keyboard is necessarily so thin that it is prone to these kinds of errors. This particular keyboard was expensive: approx. $114, so you would expect a reliable product, which in this instance was not the case. The concept is great, but I won't take another chance on one of these keyboards. I've returned the product to Amazon for a refund. Thank goodness for the Amazon return policy. Very easy.

Blueant F4 Stereo Bluetooth Interphone Motorcycle Kit (Helmet not included) Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned a pair of these since November (I bought them within a day of their availability in the US), and have lots of miles on them. Don's (Daugherty) review is excellent, and I won't repeat it. I have used these on both my custom Harley (loud) as well as a cruiser, and I can tell you that volume is fantastic, as is the fidelity. However, as Don notes, they are NOT iPhone friendly. The problem is not the A2dp compatiability (BlueAnt tech is using that excuse, but is using old iPhones), as only the first generation iPhones and iTouch's had that problem.

The problem is that the BlueAnt F4 is NOT sending the "pause" code when it enters intercom mode. It does send the proper code when it enters telephone mode (the music stops playing and returns when stopped). You do get the music back when the phone call terminates. When an intercom "call" terminates, you can not get back to your music without taking out and fiddling with the iPhone.
Don noted that the external (redundant) Bluetooth adapter works (sort of true), in that the music returns. However, the music has continued playing while you were on intercom, proving that the F4 did not send the pause signal. If it HAD sent the pause signal to the iPhone (or iPod), you would not have to use the external Bluetooth device.
What is bad about the external Bluetooth device hanging on your iPhone? It costs extra, for one. More importantly, it absolutely drains your iPhone battery quickly (you are running 2 Bluetooths on the phone!), AND you can't have your phone plugged into the bike for power since the Bluetooth adapater is occupying the iPhone charging slot!
So, if you aren't using the iPhone as your music and phone device, I fully recommend the BlueAnt F4. However, if you are an iPhone user, you will be frustrated, as the 10h battery life of the BlueAnt means nothing when your iPhone craps out in less than 4 hours !!!
BlueAnt can fix this with a protocol change, and I surely expect them to. Until then, iPhone buyers beware.

(More customer reviews)I'll start off by saying that I bought this item about a year ago and have used it about 5 or 6 times... And, I LOVE IT!!! It makes riding with my friend so much more enjoyable (perhaps not so much for my third biking friend, who cant join in on the conversation) I wont say they're the greatest product in the world, as some aspects of it feel a bit cheap (such as the headphone wires, which I feel I have to be particularly careful with as they feel like they could break, also, one of the clips that hold the receiver on the helmet has broken, but the box comes with a velcro alternative) but considering what else is out there, and price of those alternatives, I think these are great.
I should point out at this stage that I use these with a Vespa (my friend rides a Honda SH150, another scooter) so perhaps my conditions aren't the same as those who use them on motorcycles.
On the open road, i'd say we can be about 300m apart without losing sound quality (this is my guesstimate). When there are a few more twist involved, a bit less than that. Mind you, we would probably not be riding that far apart anyway, so this distance suits us perfectly. The volume when in intercom mode is very high, and must be adjusted in order not to go deaf. My friend uses a full-face helmet and I use a half-face most of the time without a visor. I'm told that I can be heard pretty clearly until about the 70 - 80km/h and although I can still be heard at the 80 mark, it sound better with the visor pulled down. (my friends words) I on the other hand herd him well the whole time. The max speed i've used these is 100km/h (the legal limit in Australia) and they worked great.
I have also paired these with a Blackberry Bold 9000 and 9700 and was able to make very clear phone calls. The volume on these can go very (very) high, so it's important to adjust. The person on the other end hears very clear, and in fact, in one instance the receiver didn't even know I was riding at the time.
As another reviewer pointed out, as music headphones, these fail miserably. connected to my iPod, although the volume is very loud, they are very VERY tinny! It's quite uncomfortable on the ears. However, I did not buy these for that feature as I have other speakers in helmet for this purpose (yes, I have 2 speakers stuffed into my helmet)
Pros: Cheap; Great sound quality in intercom/bluetooth mobile phone modes; decent distances in intercom mode; great audio quality at high speeds; great audio quality with open-face helmets; can be used whilst being charged (very handy if you happen to have a cigarette lighter charger, as I do)
Cons: Very bad audio quality as music headphones; some aspects of it feel a bit cheap, such as wires and some of the plastics; sometimes the sound is very quiet, but turning it off and then back on often fixes this; powering off can sometimes be a bit tricky ie. sometimes it goes into pairing mode instead of turning off when you hold the power button too long.
P.S. This is the first time i've ever written a review, so I hope it has helped someone :)

It allows me to leave my ipod classic in one spot and wander around the house doing chores w/out being in danger of the cords getting hung up on something. However, I wear glasses (indoors and outside) and these headphones are really uncomfortable while trying to wear my glasses. They pinch around my ears and the body of the headphones rests too far away from my neck.

Uses:
- The Jambox is perfect for a full, quality sound in a limited space (1-2 rooms) and for any casual gathering.
- It is not intended as a system replacement that would fill 10 rooms of a house party with club volume sound.
Pros:
- The speakers sound great at all but the very loudest setting with strong highs/mids and surprisingly good bass from such a tiny system. Great sound from both Pandora (free content) and iTunes (AAC 192 K VBR compression).
- Better sounding than any other tiny speaker systems (not fairly compared with any of the high end iPod/iPhone dock systems)
- The pairing from both my iPhone and iPad was a snap and I was pleasantly surprised I can keep both paired at the same time.
- Elegant and solid physical design that is in a class all its own (nothing else comes close at this size)
- Polished interface and software design with upgradable firmware and feature add-ons. I plan to test this soon.
- Smaller and more solid than expected
- Excellent speaker-phone performance (as expected from Jawbone). Others could not tell I was on a speaker-phone.
- The battery came fully charged.
- High end packaging (iPhone inspired no doubt) that contained a large array of cables (unlike iPhone). Cons:
- The range is ok but probably closer to 20 or 25 feet and not the 35 claimed.
- As expected the Bluetooth doesn't work through walls (at least not the solid walls with oil paint used in my apartment, which also severely hampers our wi-fi).
- Price is steep but I consider that the cost of miniaturization and early adoption. I would not be surprised to see this come down to $150 in a few months.

(More customer reviews)The Jay Bird SB2 and adapter I bought sound great, look great, and generally work exactly as expected. The sound quality may actually be better than expected. It's certainly far better than any other Bluetooth headset I've heard, and better than most on-ear and in-ear headphones. Setting up the adapter for CD quality sound is a little clunky, but once you're there it sounds great. Most of the time I just use standard sound.
I was a little concerned about whether the headband would be a goofy looking in person, but Iactually get a lot of comments to the effect of "Whoah, those things are cool lookin'! Are they Bluetooth?"
Making and receiving calls is pretty simple. To make a call I just use voice dial, and receiving a call is as easy as pushing the button on the ear piece.
Construction seems fine, though the size adjusters are starting to slide pretty easily now, but they never move while I'm wearing them.

As for the connectivity, it works pretty good for me as well, however, I have not really made full use of the blue pin technology that the unit comes with. But it seems to be working OK as far as I have tested it.
This design is very high tech, and when the lights are dimmed, the blue glow looks awesome. This unit can be powered by 8 'D' size batteries, so it can be taken on picnics, or just outdoors when hanging out with friends.
iLUV is a brand that is produced by jWIN, so if you make the purchase, I recommend that as soon as get it that you test it fully, to make sure that it is working properly, and that you are satisfied with the quality.

(More customer reviews)I've had this in my car for two months now. On the plus side, DVD playback is good - excellent screen, good on screen controls. But every new disk you put in, it defaults to closed captions being on, and there's no way on the screen to turn that off - you have to use the remote, so keep it handy.
On the minus side, the USB connector is some incredibly tiny thing and I can't figure out what cable it takes - its smaller than the mini-USB, maybe its a micro but it looks even smaller than those. I guess the IPOD is supposed to hook through there? Because there is no other port, but I've not found an IPOD to micro USB (A or B) cable for sale anywhere on line.
And don't bother with the manual - its a pile of broken English that makes no sense whatsoever.
Bluetooth worked great on this unit, for about a month, and then mysteriously stopped working. Go figure.
Volume for CD and DVD playback is pretty low, I didn't use an amp but will probably have to add one.
Oh, and one more pet peeve: the mute button is right next to the eject, and they're all the same size. So you reach for the mute, instead you get the CD or DVD ejected and the radio plays.

The downfalls with this unit is CD's take a while to read, the aux. port always says no signal, the usb doesn't work with anything (Ipod or cell phone) other then a flash drive and the bluetooth is very "iffy". It will sync and unsync at will and thats if it even syncs in the first place. Cell phones seem to sync better than Ipods. Also, there are no graphics while a CD or SD card plays music and the music shuffle feature doesn't do a good job of shuffling. But the unit isn't too bad for $150.00. After all, you get what you pay for.

Jawbone JAMBOX (Grey Hex) Review

(More customer reviews)I decided to try out this highly rated bluetooth speaker for my iPad and iPhone and was shocked at its ease of use, sound quality, small footprint, portability and long battery life. I liked the choice of colors which makes these small speakers standout and easy to spot. When I first opened the package, I was pleased that the company included several high quality cords including both short and long micro USB cords for recharging and computer synching, charge adapter, and a tangle-free audio cord for non-bluetooth sources. You can create an account on the Jawbone MyTALK site to download voice profiles and apps. In pairing mode, it easily connected with all of our iPads and iPhones. I tested the iPad first with Netflix, Pandora, Hulu+, Air Video Server, and iTunes. Considering that the speaker is only the size of 2 stacked Wii controllers, the sound was surprisingly strong, clear, full-bodied, and free of hisses or pops that I have experienced with other bluetooth speakers and maintained the bluetooth connection without a single drop. Next, I paired both an iPhone 4 and 3Gs and both easily paired with the speaker. I ran Pandora and tested the speakerphone function which worked nicely. You can program a quickdial number that can be immediately dialed by pushing the round botton on the top when paired with a phone. You can download apps for voice commands which I didn't try since I rarely ever use, but the transmission and receiving sound quality is quite good. The next day, I went to work in the operating room and everyone was curious when I pulled out the small speaker and placed my iPhone by its side. There's no need to bring any cords which is the real advantage of using this speaker for true convenient portability. When I started playing my Pandora selections from the iPhone, no one in the O.R. could believe it was coming out of this small speaker. It obviously isn't going to challenge a Bose SoundDock or Dr. Dre Beatbox, but we all had a pleasant day in the operating room doing a full day of cases with great tunes and the speaker lasted the entire day using only 50% of the battery life. At home, I was surprised when my son was playing games on the iPad downstairs and the sound was coming through the Jambox speakers located upstairs with perfect clarity. I researched all of the bluetooth speakers currently available, and this stands out by far. Personally, I prefer using this small speaker which I can pull out of my labcoat, rather than carrying around a large heavy sounddock with cords shoved in a bag. I now leave the sounddock in my office. The only reason I didn't rate this 5-stars is due to the sticker-shocker price which I personally feel is a bit excessive and would be more competitive in the $150 - $170 range. At the $200 pricepoint, most people are audiophiles and will likely make the unfair comparison to larger sounddocks. On the other hand, this is perfect for people like myself willing to sacrifice a bit of room-filling base-rumbling sound for a truly portable wireless speaker with accurate sound reproduction. (More customer reviews)My husband bought this for me for Christmas and I love it. the sound quality is in a class by itself. The comfort and ability to size it to any ears is what makes this headset truly outstanding. Most of them you have to really force a "one size fits all" fit your head and they did not feel secure at all.
The people that I am talking to aren't constantly asking "what???" and I'm able to hear people clearly even when I'm outside.
I love the way the charger base doubles as a case because I can throw the whole thing in my purse and not worry about it getting lost or crushed. This is a BIG advantage in my mind.
My only "ding" is that the charger is unlike any other -- the jack is particularly small -- so if you lose that, you are stuck. I have searched high and low for a replacement (I usually like to have at least 2 so I can charge at work and at home) but it seems like the only way I'm going to be able to have a "spare charger", then I'm going to have to buy an additional headset.
If anyone knows a source for a replacement charger, please let me know!
Other than that -- if you are more organized than I am and not in the habit of losing little things like chargers -- I would highly recommend this headset.

(More customer reviews)I like this unit. Installed this unit in a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. The screen slightly covers the climate controls, but when the screen is tilted, they can be accessed easily. The sound quality is good, all the connectors are solid, and the bluetooth works great for both calls and music. Use this with your Smartphone and stream some Pandora, it sounds great. Picture quality is good, and the touch screen is responsive for a resistive touch screen.
The only complaint is that the screen will show some artifacts when it is really cold. Get the heat goning, and it looks fine once it warms up.
Great buy for the money!

(More customer reviews)I decided to try out this highly rated bluetooth speaker for my iPad and iPhone and was shocked at its ease of use, sound quality, small footprint, portability and long battery life. I liked the choice of colors which makes these small speakers standout and easy to spot. When I first opened the package, I was pleased that the company included several high quality cords including both short and long micro USB cords for recharging and computer synching, charge adapter, and a tangle-free audio cord for non-bluetooth sources. You can create an account on the Jawbone MyTALK site to download voice profiles and apps. In pairing mode, it easily connected with all of our iPads and iPhones. I tested the iPad first with Netflix, Pandora, Hulu+, Air Video Server, and iTunes. Considering that the speaker is only the size of 2 stacked Wii controllers, the sound was surprisingly strong, clear, full-bodied, and free of hisses or pops that I have experienced with other bluetooth speakers and maintained the bluetooth connection without a single drop. Next, I paired both an iPhone 4 and 3Gs and both easily paired with the speaker. I ran Pandora and tested the speakerphone function which worked nicely. You can program a quickdial number that can be immediately dialed by pushing the round botton on the top when paired with a phone. You can download apps for voice commands which I didn't try since I rarely ever use, but the transmission and receiving sound quality is quite good. The next day, I went to work in the operating room and everyone was curious when I pulled out the small speaker and placed my iPhone by its side. There's no need to bring any cords which is the real advantage of using this speaker for true convenient portability. When I started playing my Pandora selections from the iPhone, no one in the O.R. could believe it was coming out of this small speaker. It obviously isn't going to challenge a Bose SoundDock or Dr. Dre Beatbox, but we all had a pleasant day in the operating room doing a full day of cases with great tunes and the speaker lasted the entire day using only 50% of the battery life. At home, I was surprised when my son was playing games on the iPad downstairs and the sound was coming through the Jambox speakers located upstairs with perfect clarity. I researched all of the bluetooth speakers currently available, and this stands out by far. Personally, I prefer using this small speaker which I can pull out of my labcoat, rather than carrying around a large heavy sounddock with cords shoved in a bag. I now leave the sounddock in my office. The only reason I didn't rate this 5-stars is due to the sticker-shocker price which I personally feel is a bit excessive and would be more competitive in the $150 - $170 range. At the $200 pricepoint, most people are audiophiles and will likely make the unfair comparison to larger sounddocks. On the other hand, this is perfect for people like myself willing to sacrifice a bit of room-filling base-rumbling sound for a truly portable wireless speaker with accurate sound reproduction. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and will buy another when and if the price drops.

The screen is motorized giving it several angles. When car turns off and then back on, It remembers DVD movie position and screen angle. The menu screen is stock, it shows icons that the system is even capable of but youll get use to ignoring them. I think u can add tv with a tuner. the Bluetooth is great connects to phone right when you get in car. Overall a good system and will give your speakers a working.Good for the price.
