(More customer reviews)I purchased this headset for use with a Polycom phone system. Originally I was told that it could be connected to the automatic hookswitch function of the phone, but we were never able to find a way to actually do that. However, using the headset and manually answering the phone worked well enough, and I initially found this to be a good device, albeit with a few problems.
The sound quality is excellent. I had never had anyone comment that they had any difficulty hearing me, and even though I have some hearing loss, I was able to clearly hear the people I was talking to.
I did have some difficulty getting the device to work with my bluetooth phone, and I eventually gave up trying since I really didn't need that function. I also found that the headset wasn't always clear about when it was connected correctly, and I would switch from my phone's handset to the headset to find that I was talking to dead air.
But the real killer for this headset was its fragility. The hinge that allows the headset to collapse and be placed in the charger comes to a point where it is held together by a small piece of plastic, and eventual wear and tear can damage the plastic. This headset lasted for less than 6 months before the hinge broke, rendering the headset useless.
