(More customer reviews)i am writing this review from the xperia: that's how much i've been using it lately, and that's how easy it is to use for typing, browsing, editing and reviewing important documents. the touch screen is great and the phone has a sturdy, heavy metalic feel that i personally love. but there ARE some shortcomings. You need to fiddle around with it BIGtime before you get its battery to perform decently. And the camera could be better (my old nokia n82 took far superior photos and even more so for video).
Overall a very impressive mini laptop disguised as a phone, a trend in design many others are already following, such as the n97. Running on WM 6.1 pro opens up the door for so many great programs, ive had it 5 days and ive downloaded 11 apps: audio recording, tweaking, barcode reading, chat, skype, facebook, media players, maps, gps, security, etc.

Combining a 3-inch wide VGA display and a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 enables you to work efficiently while on the move (thanks to its Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system) as well as enjoy your favorite entertainment--from music to video. Unlocked Phone This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.

Phone Features The XPERIA X1's 3-inch touchscreen has a 480 x 800-pixel resolution and a 65K color depth, and it features a full physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out the left side of the phone. With the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the XPERIA X1 supports Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager, which provides single-point access to line of business and corporate data such as applications, files and other information located on the corporate network. It also provides push email for immediate send and receive on Corporate Microsoft Exchange servers as well as editing of Microsoft Office documents. Additionally, it can handle personal email from POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP accounts.
This phone provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and audio/video remote control. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones.
