(More customer reviews)I had been thinking about buying a thinkpad when i ordered this product but i wasn't aware of the risks lying beneath. I have always liked thinkpad series and it's quality and well made products and leading role in the industry. Before ordering this, i searched a lot on the lenovo website and the other review pages. Most important part of deciding to buy a thinkpad is; you barely see this computer around to take a closer look and make a consideration. After making a long searches i decided to buy from amazon for a very good price. When my computer arrived it was very exciting for me to open that box. I couldn't wait to open box and power the computer up but when i saw the lcd i got very disappointed. It was terribly ugly panel compared to almost any consumer laptops and i felt terrible when i noticed the darker pixels on the right side of the screen. There were 4-5 vertical pixel row was darker than the rest part of the panel and the complete brightness was decreasing from left to the right end of the whole screen. When i seached about it i found the answer: this is why they call this computer a "business laptop". So this was totally disappointment. I thought that it was a defect and returned computer to the seller for an exchange. After receiving 2nd item it was the same plus moving loose keyboard tray. It has been almost 2 months since i ordered first computer and i am still waiting for a refund. So go and get another computer no matter which but not this one !!!
PROS-
* Good performance of system
* Powerful software bundle
* Comfortable new keyboard design (if it's staying in its place)
* Simple and attractive design
* Built in wwan
CONS-
* Ugly unstable screen brightness decreasing towards the right side of the screen
* Very disappointing shallow color depth
* Grungy graphics or color transition in the pictures. (if computer means just word and excel for you then no problem :) )
* Very cheap and disappointing plastic material and uneven structure joints.
* Right part of the keyboard is flapping/loose like few screws are missing on the bottom. (most common defects as i read from the forums)
* Some vertical 4-5 pixels are visibly darker on the right side of the screen.
* No led indicators of ram/hdd/caps lock/wi-fi
* Matte screen is old fashioned and low contrast
