(More customer reviews)This unit looks great! Has a great interface (for the most part) and is pretty good at some things..... however its soooooo sloooooow!!
Every function from changing sources to navigating through any menu system takes time.... I even found the GPS to be sluggish.. I would turn onto a street and it would take 3 to 5 seconds or so to figure out that I even turned....
That was disappointing to me consider Garmin GPS was the reason I got the thing... also the EQ is terrible!! Its pretty hard to customize your sound to get it the way you want... and is definitely not easy to do and is quite time consuming...
Things that I did like was the flashy look of the interface... and the phone book was actually pretty decent... but however the fact that even this was sluggish made it frustrating going through it.
Its almost like Kenwood released a product thats processor is underpowered therefore making the entire unit too slow.
Its too bad actually because if it was more responsive it would be a really awesome unit.
I returned the 6180 and instead went with the Pioneer X930BT... and am pretty happy with it.... its extremely responsive (as soon as you press a button it does it) and the Ipod intergration is much better.
Also to my surprise I found the GPS to actually work better then the Garmin in the 6180?? Go figure... I always used Garmin but I guess Pioneer isn't that bad after all....
