Epson Stylus Photo RX600 Inkjet All-in-One Review

This unit can do it all (except fax). The software is a dream compared to the HP2150 I returned in order to get this. I got the HP because it had built in wireless/ethernet print server and a fax. But the software bundle is all or nothing, they didn't separate out the printer driver...so anyone who wants to just print on the thing must first install 1.5gb (thats GIGabytes) of crap the infects your registry like a cancer. This Epson RX600's software is a dream. They separated everything! Just want to print occasional black and white like me, driver is just 8mb. Want everything and do photo touchups and crazy things and photo albums and scan (like my wife) - just put in the cd and add what you want one app at a time. That's why we went with this printer and returned the HP. Also, one more plus is that the RX600 scans old negatives and can print them perfectly or digitize them for you forever - the HP can't. I LOVE this feature (and yes, it's a combo of mechanical and software differences that achieve this, I dare you to try on another machine). I do miss the HP's built in print server. I bought a Linksys Wireless-G for USB2.0, and it won't work with this printer. Epson wrote me back and confirmed this. This is why I docked this review by a star. You MUST be able to run your printers from a print server. My 4 year old HPLaserJet3150 hooked up no problem, but my new Epson fails? That sucks, and if my wife didn't love this so much, I would send it back strictly for that reason. I do like how it's USB 2.0, it is fast. Separate color tanks (...)are sweet, not like HP where if blue runs out, you're forced to buy all other colors again. This has 6 color tanks all independently replaceable. Nice.
PROS: USB2.0, individual color tanks, scan negatives,LCD screen, front loading usb input for cameras, built in card reader on the front,great b/w quality, killer photo print quality, minimal/incremental/customizable software/driver install (extremely flexible and lightweight)
CONS: doesn't work w/ LinkSys print servers

Epson Stylus Photo RX595 All-in-One Printer (C11C693201) Review

I recently bought a new laptop with Vista. When I bought my laptop, I took advantage of a promotion to receive a free Epson printer and bought the CX5000 which was free after the 79.99 rebate.
I gave my husband my old RX500 and used the new CX5000. Mistake. The CX5000 did not print pictures near as nice as my old RX500 and the pictures had a matte finish even when printed on glossy paper. I also noticed that the CX5000 used ink like crazy! I told my husband to bring my old printer home and gave him the CX5000. He only uses it for text copies anyway. However, I could not get my old RX500 to work with Vista and set out to find a new all in one that I would like as much as my old one. I'm very picky and expected this to be a hard task.
Before looking for a new printer, I did find out that the CX series only has 4 cartridges. The RX series has 6 cartridges. I read about this printer on Epson's site and read reviews of a few other Epson printers on Amazon and decided to give the RX595 a shot. It was on sale at Comp USA for $99 which is a pretty reasonable price. I took my SD card and some paper and went to try it out. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the prints straight from my card. The color was great, the picture did not look like it had a flat matte finish and they printed relatively fast and very quite too! I bought it and hoped that I would be just as satisfied once I got it home and unpacked.
I have not been disappointed. I find myself looking for things to print just so I can see how nice they look. I have also used the burn feature for printing labels to CD/DVD's a few times and am pleased with those results as well. My ink levels are still almost full and I've printed at least 20 4x6's and 2 8x10's plus printed a few text pages.
This is a really great printer! It's quite, fast, and prints beautiful pictures. The ability to burn a label on a CD/DVD is nice too. The only slight complaint that I have is that there does not seem to be a place to store the insert used to place the CD/DVD in when burning a label. Other than that, I could not be happier with this printer. It's the best replacement I could have picked for "Old Faithful" my RX500.

Epson Stylus Photo RX620 All-in-One Review

(More customer reviews)
Before I start, I just want to emphasize that I have been in the IT industry for about 15 years and consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about PC and PC peripherals. This DOESNT mean that I'm infallible, just simply that I know what to look for in a device. Now onto the review...
It was time to replace my tired HP Photosmart 7260, although still working and doing a great job, I may add, I wanted something, well.... different. So, I decided to delve into the AIO(All In One) category. I initally started with an open box HP 2355 from Sears and was initally pleased as punch. Decent print speeds, wonderful photo and text output and an awe-inspiring design. However my happiness was short-lived. Apparently there was a reason it was an "open box" and priced so cheap. It was defective. Continuous banding, horrible color output after sitting a few hours, etc. So, much to my dismay I took it back and decided to stick with my PS 7260 until I could afford a high-end AIO. Well the time came to purchase and I shopped around, read numerous reviews and finally picked up an Epson AIO cx6600. For those of you who havent tried this printer, its MORE than worth the money!!! Excellent speed, nice look and good print quality. All out of a 4 ink tank system! However, I just could not settle with this device(Nothing really wrong with this AIO except that I could not settle for the 4 color pigmanet-based print engine) and decided to return the 6600 in favor of the 6 color, dye-based RX620. I'm glad I did. Heres why:
1.) Print speeds seem to be on par with the cx6600 (Which has decently high ratings for speed).
2.) Photo quality is among the best I have EVER seen. This AIO is on par with the high dollar, 8 color dedicated photo printers. With Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and a high-resolution image(i.e 4-5 MP high-end camera), you almost have to have a microscope to detect ANY dithering or banding. I have printed everything from 4x6 prints up to 8.5x11 and continue to be blown away by the quality. And I have a VERY keen eye for imperfections!!!
3.) Contrary to some reviews, text DOES appear sharp and crisp. Print speeds arent super-fast, but will suffice for most applications.
4.) Copy and scan quality are among the best Ive seen from an AIO. This is probably attributed to the excellent print engine and over the top scanner. I copied an older film photo on the photo setting(NOT best photo) and could not believe my eyes. The printer has the ability to restore old photos and I'm here to tell you...IT WORKS!! An adapter is included to scan negatives and slides as well, which I have not had a chance to play with as of yet.
5.) Setup and operation are a breeze! Even printing sans computer could not be easier. The full-color LCD is very informative and easy to use!
6.) Bonus features! You can even scan directly to a memory card, or backup to a Jump Drive/CD-RW directly connected to the printer!!
7.) Its relatively quiet! Much quieter than most of the HP's that I have used.
Everyone complains about the lack of a fax, but I do NOT see this as a fault! It is designed to be a home-based photo center. You CAN scan to fax with the included software, however and I found it to work as advertised.
CONS:
All in all, I have a hard time finding faults in this AIO and I'm REALLY looking. But there are a few irritations(Not really faults)
1.) The USB cable is attached to the machine from INSIDE the lid. You have to raise the lid to install the cable, which is fed to the back via a path notched out. Kind of crazy, but not a big problem.
2.) Epson thought it to be a good idea to put a product sticker on the top, which almost covers the entire lid. This includes the shiny black oval/oblong area that gives the RX620 a handsome look. When the sticker is removed, residue is left on the shiny part and is ridiculously difficult to remove. Solvents that are effective in removing the residue, cause swirl marks on the surface. Again an irritation, but does not take away from the operation.

Epson Artisan 700 Photo All-in-One Printer (Black) (C11CA30201) Review

Average Reviews:

I like the printer, and I would recommend it. My only real complaint is the total cost of ownership is high. Order a set of ink at $60 when you order the printer, because within a couple weeks of starting it up, you'll need to replace them.
Pros:
1. Instructions were great for wireless install.
2. Prints quality is good.
3. Machine looks great.
4. The printer has never failed to print.
Cons:
1. 6 individual ink cartridges at $10 each, or $15 each for high capacity.
2. The printer's initial startup uses about 1/2 of the ink that ships with the printer. This is explained in the manual.
3. There is no information on the difference between the high capacity ink cartridges and the standard.
4. I don't think you'll find aftermarket Epson ink like you can with some brands.
5. Sometimes the printing takes a couple minutes to get started.
6. I get a lot of error messages, mostly "The printer has detected some print head nozzles are clogged. To help with the nozzle recovery please wait 6 hours. Then try printing again." Helpdesk's suggestion was that I go into the menu and turn off the print nozzle check. That is an odd solution, but the printer continues to print fine.
7. With the number of print errors I get, and the time it takes to start printing (sometimes), I've never felt totally comfortable with the printer. But helpdesk was responsive, and I've got the box if I need to send it back to Epson.

Epson Powerlite 755C LCD Projector Wireless 3.8LBS Review

Epson Powerlite 755C LCD Projector Wireless 3.8LBS
Average Reviews:

7 months of use. Well, no problems yet, Epson quality speaks for itself.
It was purchased as an office projector and the idea was to get rid of "wiring problem"... that what my boss told me... hmm, actually he just wanted to show how smart he is by doing next presentation with his phone. He did it a couple of times and was happy. I barely could understand why did we need a projector for $2000 to show us his smartphone, so I started to play with the most interesting features that this projector has.
First, it is very simple in use. At least for me. I'm not talking about PowerPoint presentation with laptop via serial connection. Of course, it can do this too, but I don't think you need to pay $2000 if you want just this. Wireless connection. As I've mentioned above, our boss without any problems got connection with his Sony Ericsson. I used my laptop and got the same result. I also tried encryption. I can not say how well it is and why do you need this security stuff unless you are doing your presentation for hackers conference, but it seems working.
The most interesting thing I wanted to try is playing video. By that time this projector was not screwed to the selling, and I had an idea to get it home to watch some movies on the wall with 200" diag. It was the first projector (I had an experience with about 10 of them) which started to play video without any additional help from me. I had several awesome nights with coke and popcorn...
Anyway, the image was sharp, the bulb was bright and, thanks God, it doesn't have so noticeable pixel grid! I saw a lot of LCD projectors with this lack. And of course you can not avoid using wireless feature with selling mounted projector.
Overall, the best wireless projector I've ever used.

First off; I have never written a review before in my life for anything from amazon, but i buy on here all the time... So on this relatively big purchase i went out on a whem and bought it with no reviews, so i feel i owe it to people now that i have experienced it and feel i am above average on tech-knowledge... and i want to forewarn u i judge hard.. i am judging compared to projectors priced AT $1000.... not 800 not 1200 theres a difference..(even though this beats MOST $1200 projectors in my opinion, atleast on specs..) when i say 10/10, i mean perfect, meaning one probably doesnt exist... so 9/10 is the best u would probably see.. just trying to give u an idea of how i judge..
Overall7.5/10
Performance;
color 7.5/10
contrast 8/10
brightness 7/10
Connections8/10
adjustment options 7/10
Look;
noise 7.5/10
compact9/10
quality6.5/10
Reliability;
interior parts 6/10
(access) light emit-ion6/10
Build 5.5/10there are reasons for everything but i cant get into it all so.. if u have no money and want a b@da$$ projector for very cheap but it comes with a price.. cheap parts, but it still keeps up with the big boys that are more reliable and that have better quality parts.. it may not last as long as the $2000 and $3000 projectors but it puts out one great image.. Tooo good sometimes...
CONs;
1)Big green bar came on once while playing movie through component hook up (went away after resourced it bak to movie, never happened again.)
2)Dynamic Black CANNOT keep up in HDMI inputs.. it only works with lesser quality connections.. it has a slight "fade" affect going from dark to light screenshots... but only with the 2 HDMI inputs.. component works fine with dynamic black... but HDMI is SOO much better u dont need the dynamic black... (i have only tested this with my xbox360 slim halo reach edition. so it may just be xbox idk..)
3)cheap feet-pegs/stands, and founding a mount is harder than i wanted but acer is new..
4)more light comes out of the projector (itself's) sides than it should but i guess it helps with cooling which makes for better performance!?!?Overall again ur buying a projector from a mid-level computer company, who has never attempted much like this or even seen this market before... they tried and did well but not perfect.. now for a first attempt i give the, 5/5... lets see what the next years look like... but if u wanna spend no more than $1000 on a projector this is the one i would tell my own mother to buy... if u have more money to spend u have options.. hope this helps to narrow it down!! happy shopping!!!
