(More customer reviews)I recently installed one of these units. Installation was straightfoward and clean, with all connections made behind the radio. Installation instructions are simple and clear.
Be aware that this unit provides an output to only one speaker (not two or four), so I wired it to the driver's door speaker since it's closest to the driver. I also mounted the microphone on the driver's side front pillar so the driver doesn't have to yell to be heard. All calls are clear and the volume is fully adjustable. Although not mentioned by the manufacturer, the control switch is nicely illuminated. There were no Bluetooth pairing issues at all.
The reason I rated it only four of five stars: If the manual tells you to press and release a button, you must hold it for two or more seconds, otherwise the feature may not work. For example, to end a call you must hold the "End" button for four seconds, even though the manual says two seconds. This is a minor annoyance at first, but you will adapt to it and after a few days you won't even notice it. I'm just mentioning it so that you won't automatically think it's defective or poorly installed.
Bottom line: please buy this or any other handsfree device for your car. It will instantly make you a safer driver and far less likely to crash into ME while speaking on your cellphone.
