PhoneLabs - Enterprise Telephone - 735662000302 Review

PhoneLabs - Enterprise Telephone - 735662000302
Average Reviews:

I'm using the PhoneLabs PHO-ENT as a landline substitute with the Bluetooth module.
It works but there are definitely some quirks.
Audio quality is nowhere as good as it could be. I have better audio quality from my Motorola and Jawbone headsets.
I have not been able to transfer my 300 phonebook entries from my mobile phone to the device (but had no issues doing the same with my car kit).
All in all, it's great to have a desk phone solution for my office that uses the cell phone network. It would be nice if it had a battery or battery backup (in case of power failure) but that would add costs to an already expensive device.
NOTE: The handset does not come with the Bluetooth module or cable for use with your phone. Those accessories must be purchased separately.

Voyager® 510 Bluetooth¿ Headset System with Lifter Review

I have had this only 1 day so far but it is better sound than the jabra I had and it really is as seemless to switch as can be with my samsung 900, even at my desk I can make calls/receive them from either the desk or cell phone without it missing a beat...
This price is cheaper than the headset and stand alone (289 on Amazone too) and the HL10 H=Handset L=Lifter is an awesome product too for office productivity!!
I had the CS 50 and loved it and this one does NOT have the same range but it has worked quite well and done so well over the 30 feet it says for bluetooth, atr least thats been tested a bunch with the desk unit since I done make a habit of walking away from my cell phone...
PLantroinics is proud of their products witht he price, thats for sure, but this is a well designed and great working product. If I get time I will update with news after having it for a few months...

I have this phone and I love it, But would not pay $80 and definitely not $134.
There are websites you can google and I found one for $56 w/ a car charger included and the phone is not locked. This phone does everything you want it to and it's light weight, the speaker is loud and clear and T-mobile no longer sells
them. My phone has water damage and I am not in search for a cheaper one. I will buy in 1 month and continue to google cheaper than $56.

Original Parrot Minikit Smart Universal Bluetooth Hands-Free Charging Holder PF290008AA Review

Original Parrot Minikit Smart Universal Bluetooth Hands-Free Charging Holder PF290008AA
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Test device: Samsung Epic, Android 2.2
I've been keeping an eye on Parrot's product line ever since I got my Fit a few years ago as there wasn't an option for hands-free. I wasn't ready to drop a few hundred on one of the integrated systems, plus another hundred or so for installation, though they look to be the best way to go. I tried a product similar to the Minikit, which turned out to be a disaster as it was way too quiet and then fell apart. But, I decided to give the Minikit Smart a try anyhow, based on the generally good reviews of their other products. My hope was that it was better than my current solution, which was to plug the phone's audio out into my Fit's audio in and shout a lot.
Out of the box, I was mostly happy with what I saw. The Minikit feels pretty solid, and similar in weight to my Garmin GPS. The cradle snuggled up well with my Epic, with no interference with the Epic's side buttons. No way to use the Epic's camera though, as it's fully blocked when centered on the Minikit's back. That eliminates the use of augmented reality apps while driving. Honestly, I worry about the mic, which on a thin retracting cable. If I have this thing attached to another surface and the suction holding the main body in place lets go, I am not confident that the cable is going to survive. No option to export the audio either, so if that cable does break, the Minikit becomes a paperweight. The kit seemed to contain everything I needed to get it to work, though the manual leaves a lot to be desired. Not that I needed it, but I was a little surprised Parrot didn't include a charging cable for iPhones, given their popularity. Even without, the kit still contains two of the most common cable types for smart phones.
As indicated by the manual, I first went to get the latest update for the Minikit from Parrot's website. Let me tell you, what a pain in the @ss. Navigating around the Parrot site is frustrating at best, even to the point of switching languages on you. While the US version of the site doesn't have a compatibility list for the Minikit, which makes sense since it is advertised as good for all smartphones, the UK version of the site I was transferred to does have one, (add the following to the end of Parrot's dot com address: /uk/support/onlinehelpguides/parrot_minikit_smart/compatibility). The list isn't so full, and my phone isn't listed. Eventually, I was able to find the software update for the Minikit (Note: The Parrot Software Update Tool is not compatible with the Minikit Smart, you need to visit the UK site to the software and instructions for flashing.) Following the procedure went well, and in a few minutes, I was able to update.
For the charging to work, you *must* have the Minikit connected to a power source for this to happen. It will not charge up your device from its own internal battery. I used a standard USB cable and USB cigarette light adapter instead of the included adapter, as I wanted the extra USB port my adapter offered (allows me to charge two USB devices at the same time). The included micro-USB cable fitted my Epic with no problem. It's a pretty short cable, just enough to reach around the back and connect without too much strain on the connectors. As hoped for, it charged up my phone without a problem. I was also able to charge both the Minikit and the phone using a USB wall adapter. A tad over 2hrs and the Minikit was ready to go.
Pairing my Epic with the Minikit was smooth as silk. In short order it had synced all my contacts over and was ready for use. I placed a few test calls from within the house, a quiet environment where I thought it would perform the best for taking vocal commands and for me being able to hear it. Hearing was no problem at all, the 2W speaker more than enough in the dead silence. The voice recognition didn't do so well. Out of 5 attempts for 10 different contacts, the Minkit only dialed out correctly once, most often not understanding who I was trying to call. Trying various mic positions didn't seem to help. In contrast, I use the voice input on my phone often and it rarely has issues, even when I am shouting at it while driving along the freeway.
In the car, I mounted the Minikit to the dash on the same plate that I had been using for my Garmin GPS and connected everything up. It's not a clean look, for sure. Power cord to the Minikit so it can provide power to my phone. One cord from the Minikit to the phone to give it said power. Mic cord from the Minikit to where I mounted the mic. And one optional cable to pipe music from the phone to the car's sound system. Looks a bit like a spider perched up there on the dash. Staying within the laws governing obstruction of view and items hung from the windshield could be a challenge with this setup, at least if one wants/plans to use the Minikit's ability to keep their phone charged up.
On the road, the Minikit's base was quite steady, holding onto the dash without a problem. The base's swivel allows for angling your device just right for best viewing and it's pretty tight. The swivel can be tightened further, should it start loosening up over time or because of a weighty device. The mic surface mount included in the kit held the mic in place without a problem. The cradle holds my Epic firmly, and the phone did not shift in position whatsoever over the course of several trips. For me, it was too quiet to use properly (not much sound deadening in a smart sporty car). Around town it was ok, as long as I had the windows up, no music going, and the fan for the heat/AC wasn't on. Anything above 60mph and it was too difficult to hear. I eventually plugged it directly to my Fit's sound system, and that worked much better. Though I couldn't listen to the radio or a CD with it plugged in like this, I could use Pandora, Audible, and few other music related apps instead. Callers could hear me pretty ok, I only had to repeat myself a few times at a higher volume.
The Minikit Smart is a decent product, but, not without its drawbacks. I wish I'd opted for one of their systems that is fitted right to my car's stereo though. It doesn't look clean when installed, should be removed after every trip so as not to invite thieves, and if I get an extended life battery for my phone the cradle probably won't be able to hold onto my phone anymore. As well, it's still better than what I had. Maybe I'll resort to taking it apart and integrating it into my Fit a bit better.

Scosche BFCL2K Bluetooth Hands-Free Kit with Caller ID for Select GM Vehicles Review

Scosche BFCL2K Bluetooth Hands-Free Kit with Caller ID for Select GM Vehicles
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Great product for adding hands free phone and MP3 player to my Silverado Bose system. Pairs reliably, but was getting some 1 second skips about 3-5 times per song when streaming music. Issue cleared up when I closed other apps on the phone. I later found that I could also clear the problem by disabling WiFi when I am paired. I suspect the phone was interrupting music streaming while trying to connect to various hot spots as I passed by. Hands free works well and is clean. Answer calls and hang up using existng seek up/down buttons on steering wheel. Same seek up/down buttons can skip songs on MP3 player. Another nice feature is any audio (including notifications and voice navigation) comes over stereo speakers cleanly while music does smooth transitions in and out of the interruption. You do have to juggle the independant volume settings per function on the phone to get the right balance (media, call, navigation, etc have separate levels on Android). Caution that functionality is highly dependant on how well the phone handles bluetooth pairing, commands, and streaming. My Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S for AT&T) performed well.

The design is hot but the ear reciever is to big for any persons ear which causes the bluetooth device to hang away from a person's face. My two other roomates and I tried everything including using the smaller ear adjustment piece to hold it closer to the face but the ear reciever is just way to big to fit in a person's ear. I wanted it so bad to :(.

I bought it, but the people that I talk to, they can't listen fine. they told me that my voice it is hear like a robot. The only thing that really works it is the streaming, but I didn't buy this thing to listen music. I don't recomended at all. Instead of that I buought a jvc car stereo the AVX-830. It has everything bluetooth, streaming, dvd, etc.
In other hand this company Electronica Direct, it is the worst company to buy things. Because they didn't accept to return the bluetooth, and they only want to return it just after 30 days, you know that before return the item, you have to tried first, and if it didn't work, you just return it. They just say no, you can't return it.
What kind of customer service is this?
I can tell you the worst, never buy from this company.

Plantronics Voyager 500A - Bluetooth headset base unit Review

Plantronics Voyager 500A - Bluetooth headset base unit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am hearing challenged and recently purchased new Oticon EPOQ hearing aids. They have an accessory streamer that allows you to connect via bluetooth to up to 8 devices; such as your cell phone, an ipod, television sound, etc. The streamer then routes the sound directly into the hearing aid. I purchased the Plantronics Voyager 500A to connect my multi-line digital work telephone via my streamer to my hearing aids. The Plantronics base unit is designed to be used in conjunction with a bluetooth headset, but it works well with my streamer to accomplish the same goal. Only problem is the base unit has a receiver to "charge" the headset which in my case I do not need. Sometimes the red indicator light on the base blinks for the headset to be recharged and it will not accept calls during this time. Therefore I just unplug the base unit each night and plug it back in in the morning. This circumvents the necessity of charging the headset, which I do not have.

Cisco-Linksys USBBT100 Bluetooth USB Adapter Review

Cisco-Linksys USBBT100 Bluetooth USB Adapter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you own a bluetooth enabled phone, this is a MUST-HAVE accessory! I've owned this for two weeks and here's my experience w/it so far.
Installation was a snap! I am using Windows XP SP1. I downloaded the latest drivers from Linksys website and during the install process, it prompted me to plug in the dongle, then it finished and was up and working! That easy! I've read about others having driver problems w/other lesser name brands (Belkin, etc) but Linksys truly does live up to its name. I've also installed drivers on my laptop so I now have a Bluetooth enabled laptop also! It's easy switching the dongle from desktop to laptop because of the USB connector. Pairing w/my Sony Ericsson T610, I now have wireless internet access on my laptop anywhere I can get a signal on my cell phone!
Syncing w/Outlook is much faster than through IRDA and sending pictures/ringtones/games to and from the phone is a lot more convenient too because it doesn't require line of sight the way IRDA does.
The specs claim 100m but you've gotta remember that's unobstructed. I live in a 2800sq ft home w/two floors and this unit still picked up a weak to fair signal from one end of my house to the other. I would get strong signals from about 3/4's of the distance or closer.
You can probably save $10-15 going w/a generic or lesser name brand but full driver support from generics may be a hit-and-miss game. To me, paying a bit extra for fully compliant driver support and no installation headaches is certainly worth it! Plus, it looks cool and has that antenna for better range.

I purchase this Gigabyte M1022 for my daughter. I notice during one day of opening the LCD display panel that it was popping or coming loose during opening and closing the netbook. I tried to look for the manual to disassemble the unit but did not find any at there website, I email there tech support and still haven't got a reply. I have a Acer notebook and the disassembly instructions were included. I lucky have had experienced with assembling notebook. I carefully disassemble it to see what the cause was. I notice that there are two small screws that mounts the lcd display panel to the bottom of the netbook. I tried to tighten the two screws on each side and notice they are tight. What I found out was the nuts for which the screw go into are pressed in at the bottom of the netbook had all come loose. How can a tiny screw be used for securing the heavy weight of the LCD display panel. This is design issue. This is from normal everyday use. I would have given this a zero star rating but that was not possible. I will look elsewhere and avoid Gigabyte.

I just ordered this D-Link DNS-325 unit from Amazon.com last week and received it in great condition and I have it sitting on my desk with my music files and photographs loaded just fine, Raid1 mirroring is working just fine.
On the other hand, the Interface that came with this DNS-325 device is really not that good. Looking at the You Tube Tutorials D-Link makes this Share Center look easy to install but only if you are a trained PC Technician with network skills, the software will not back up to the main PC C/:Drive like the software shows it should. The Technical Staff at D-Link said that you need to use 3rd party back up software and offered no help at all with the Interface leaving the customer in the dark fending for themselves.
Unless you are a good IT Tech don't use this software Utility for every day home use , you can't rely on D-Link for any assistance or any Tutorials for the every day home user Network. I've spent well over $500.00 for Bay and 2 Hard Drives, for aggravation and no assistance form D-link support staff, with no training using this device and it is a shame D-link dropped the ball with the software Interface.
The Device is great, but the Software parts need a lot of work. Not a User Friendly Interface.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware Dell Customer Service, July 4, 2009
By MDK (Fairfax, VA USA) - See all my reviews
I purchased the Studio 17 on line from Dell. Prior to purchasing the Studio 17, I called a Dell sales representatives. I asked if I would notice a difference between the monitor on the Studio and the Dell SP2309W 23-inch monitor on my desk. I was told the difference would not be noticeable. Based on this information and my past excellent experiences with Dell machines and Dell support, I ordered the Studio 17.
I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the display on the Studio 17. It was substantially less clear than my Dell SP2309W--really not suitable for the long hours I spend on my machines.
Confident that Dell would readily take this machine back (based on my past excellent experience Dell), I called Dell's returns department.
I was informed that a 15% restocking fee would apply, that these were the rules, and that there was no one who was authorized to waive this fee. I noted that Dell's website clearly states that the fee does not apply if the "return is a direct result of a Dell error." Direct misrepresentation by Dell's sales representative would seem to fit the common sense definition of an "error." I was given a great deal of legalistic verbiage by a number of Dell employees, but no help of the sort that I would expect from Dell. I was finally referred to Dell's legal department although no address or phone was provided. I asked the simple courtesy that the return period of 21 days be extended while I pursued this option, I was told that this period was not extendable.
Dell's customer service policy appears to be Caveat Emptor.
