The best thing I like about this cellphone is its loudness: built-in speaker is loud and speakerphone is loud. This helps a lot if you're in a noisy restraunt (reason I dumped my old cellphone).
Pluses:
1. Well designed music player UI and dedicated buttons.
2. Loud speaker for playing music.
3. Standard 1/8" mini jack for headphones.
4. Solid buttons, crisp display
5. Very small, stylish
Minuses:
1. Short battery life -- must charge almost every night.
2. Camera is fair in quality.
3. No 3G

Motorola V197 Unlocked Phone with Quad-Band GSM and Bluetooth--International Version (Charcoal) Review

Motorola V197 Unlocked Phone with Quad-Band GSM and Bluetooth--International Version (Charcoal)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I wanted a phone that had good battery life, a reasonable form factor and was dependable; I have a camera and mp3 player, so I don't need them on my phone as well. My previous phone was a terrific Sony Ericsson W810, but lost the battle with the washing machine...The unlocked Motorola V197 set up with no problems with my ATT sim card and connected easily with Motorola Bluetooth. I have had no problems and the battery life is very, very good, as is the reception. If you want a phone that is simply a phone, I can highly recommend this one.

Motorola MOTO Z9 Phone, Red (AT&T) Review

Motorola MOTO Z9 Phone, Red (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The back of the phone easily slides off when opening the phone (sliding up). I took the phone back to the AT&T store; they tried another back, and it came off, too. They told me to call the Warranty ph #; those folks told me I must have damaged the phone, which voided the warranty. I was told this by two people.
I like the feel of the phone - it's heavy-weight. The buttons are easy to use without selecting the wrong button. The menus are easy and intuitive. The video is so-so.
I also bought an 8G micro SD card, but the phone would not read it. Again, AT&T told me that this is because the phone will only read up to 4G. Not true, according to the manual!
Maybe my problem is with AT&T and not the phone! Anyhow, there's really nothing flashy about the phone. I do use it to access info on the web, and I use the camera quite a bit. The pictures are pretty good for a cell phone camera.

Slide into high style and lightning fast multimedia with the power-packed Motorola RIZR Z9 in fashionable metallic red. The next step in the evolution of its RIZR line of slider-style phones, the MOTO Z9 offers super-fast downloads and multimedia streaming via AT&T's 3G HSDPA network, which makes it easy to download music purchased from AT&T Mobile Music, stream tunes from Napster and eMusic, and watch video streamed from CNN and Comedy Central via AT&T's Cellular Video. It also supports AT&T's Video Share service, which offers a one-way video stream during a mobile-to-mobile phone call. And you'll be able to get to where you're going fast with the integrated Assisted GPS (A-GPS) receiver and support for AT&T Navigator software and service.
A sibling to Motorola's RAZR 2 V9 phone, the MOTO Z9 shares many of its features, including a sleek stainless steel body, CrystalTalk noise reduction technology, 2.0-megapixel camera (with video capture capabilities), Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music and photo printing, MicroSD memory card expansion (up to 8 GB), access to your personal email and instant messenger services, digital audio player, and full duplex speakerphone.
AT&T Service This AT&T phone can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses the dual-band 850/1900 MHz 3G network (UMTS/HSDPA), which provides download speeds ranging from 700 Kbps to 1.7 Mbps, and upload speeds ranging from 500 Kbps to 1.2 Mbps. This makes it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless multimedia services, and it gives you the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services.
In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it's fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go. You'll also enjoy quad-band GSM connectivity, which allows you to make calls in more than 190 countries and access data applications in the more than 135 countries where AT&T offers international data roaming.
With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Video Share service, which enables you to send a live, one-way video stream to another compatible phone during a standard voice call. The service also allows you to switch the direction of the video stream during the same phone call. (Customers must be in an area served by the company's 3G network and have a Video Share-enabled phone.) While using Video Share with family and friends is a fun way to communicate, it's also very useful for business. For example, a majority of users in the architecture, engineering and construction industries rated the ability to share live video through Video Share highly, according to research commissioned by AT&T. Video Share lets you see progress on a job site or review the day's work without having to drive from an office or other site to do so.
You can take advantage of the AT&T Navigator GPS software and service, a full-featured premium navigation application that includes audible turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic updates and re-routing options, and 3D moving maps (additional charges applicable). AT&T Navigator offers several other features to make your commute more enjoyable and reliable, including mobile access to Yellowpages.com. Additionally, AT&T Navigator is the only mobile phone-based GPS service that provides integrated speech recognition for address entry and points of interest search.
With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Cellular Video (CV) service and the Internet while on the go. Cellular Video features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more. And you get access to AT&T Mobile Music, which enables you to buy tracks while on the, access the Napster and eMusic subscription music services, stream music video, discover what's playing with Music ID song-recognition software, and find out what's hot with The Buzz music news portal.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more.
Phone Features The MOTO Z9 has a large, brightly colorful 2.4-inch screen with a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and a depth of 262K colors. With the redesigned, more intelligent interface, you'll be able to search for contacts faster and avoid duplicate entries for the same person while allowing contacts to have multiple numbers. The customizable main menu means you're never more than 2 to 3 clicks away from your favorite applications. And text messaging is easier, with the MOTO Z9 recognizing what type of message you are sending.
The innovative CrystalTalk technology automatically accounts for background noise during a call and adjusts the audio quality based on ambient noise conditions to provide the optimal conversational experience. CrystalTalk also reduces the volume of the background noise picked up by the microphone during a call, making it possible to be more easily heard over the phone while in a noisy environment.
The 2.0-megapixel camera includes an 8x digital zoom and it can automatically snap up to eight new pictures--letting you choose the best image from a complete series of pictures. You can even print photos wirelessly to a Bluetooth-compatible printer with just a few menu selections. It also features a self-timer, free memory space indicator, color effects, night mode for low-light shots, and five shutter sounds (with a silent mode).
The MOTO Z9 is also an impressive video camcorder, providing up to QCIF resolution (176 x 144 pixels). It also gives you the option of choosing the video format, which offers different frame rates--25 fps for MPEG and H263 and 15 fps for WMV and Real. You can record video for as long as you have available space on your MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory card (which offers compatibility with cards up to 8 GB).
This phone provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity, and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and photo printing. 45 MB internal memory
Support for caller groups, multiple numbers per contact, photo ID, and ringer ID
Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones with vibrate silent mode
Music format support: MP3, AAC, and WMA (as well as protected WMA-DRM)

Beautiful phone with all the features you'd ever want. Except one ** DEAL BREAKER ** for me.
Our company receives many phone calls a day in which the caller hangs up during the recorded greeting of the answering machine. This phone cannot recognize a hang up, and proceeds to record a 5-sec "blank" message. (Yes, it's 2011... and all my previous answering machines of the past 20 years could do this). So we're left to wade through the blank messages and delete (which takes some skill... because your waiting for a voice but must press delete before the next message replays... small window to nail it.)
I emailed AT&T and was given a reply to call their tech support. Their answer was "It is the normal behavior of this phone NOT to recognize hang ups." I asked if this could be fixed with a future firmware update... Nope.

Palm Pixi Plus Phone (AT&T) Review

Palm Pixi Plus Phone (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This phone has a few nice features but is missing some I consider essential. Service (if it can be called that...) provider AT&T.
PROS:
Keyboard. The keyboard has a nice feel and is well designed. The "." and "@" keys are separate, and the most-used symbols are right on the the keys so texting is breeze. The threaded text feature is also nice (all texts between you and any given recipient are grouped together).
Size. It's quite small and light (fits in a pocket).
Display. The display area is fairly small but of good quality. It also allows for horizontal tilt, so if you're watching a video, it's like a mini TV screen.
Signal strength indicator. This seems to be more accurate than on other phones I've used (in places where my other phone from AT&T shows full bars but frequently drops calls, this one showed only 1 or no bars.)
Quick launcher. Similar to the dock on a Mac, it's an area on the main screen where the user can quickly access a few of the most-used apps; the apps displayed there can be changed by the user.
WebOS. Pretty smooth, easy to use.
CONS:
Slooooow start up. From powered off mode to available for any function is >2 minutes. Too long if you need to make a call in a hurry.
NO VOICE COMMANDS THIS PHONE. I've got a daily car commute so this was a real problem. The last 3 generations of phones I've bought used voice commands. I would tap my bluetooth headset, speak the name of the person I wanted to call et voila!, the call is made. And hitting the bluetooth doesn't "wake up" the phone. It goes into sleep mode (settings = 30 secs to 3 mins). Once asleep, you have to hit the power button, make a sliding motion on the screen to unlock and then hit the phone icon just to get it into calling mode. From there, if a number is in speed dial you can hit that letter on the keypad and it will dial. Otherwise, you can start inputting on the keyboard the name of the person on your contact list, or input the number on the fussy touch keypad, but that's too close to texting and really too much distraction while driving. Even when not driving, it really requires too many steps to make a call once the phone has been asleep.
Battery life. Will not make it through a day of even light use (

AT&T TL7610 DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Headset (Silver/Black) Review

ATandT TL7610 DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Headset (Silver/Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this headset to replace a corded one that plugged into my cordless phone. I kept having to replace the corded one because the cord would snag on things when I moved around, and the cord would eventually die. The corded ones were costing me about $25 each. This headset was a lot more expensive, but it is so much better in every way. All of the corded headsets I used had volume problems- 2 just weren't loud enough, and the one that was was just barely so. This headset has a volume control on it, and it is loud enough for me when set about medium. The headset is not cumbersome- no cord to catch on things or come unplugged. I use the headband style attachment, and find it very comfortable. There are several earpieces included and I think that most people would find an option to suit them. I have an older house which is quite solidly constructed. It's hard to hear someone calling out from the other end of the house, even though it's just a 1400 sq ft ranch house. I wondered if reception would be a problem if I got too far from the base, but I have had no problems with that, inside or outside the house. No interference when passing by computers, our Tivo, or the microwave, either. I think this headset will last a long time, and for me it was well worth the higher price. I wondered if I was going to want the lifter or keypad accessories, but have found the headset works fine as is. I wouldn't buy it as a replacement for a second phone, though, as it obviously lacks any way to check caller ID or dial out. I dial on a cordless handset, then put on the headset and turn it on. You can actually turn the handset off, then, I think, but then you won't have caller ID or any way to "flash" to a 2nd call if one comes in, so I leave the handset on. I do have to be careful to remember to turn the handset off when I hang up. I wondered if I had to have AT&T phones to use this headset, but this headset works fine with my Panasonic phones.

I love this phone!, now I can leave my heavy laptop at home and chat or skype my friends from my near coffee shop. Is a shame that MSN Mobile Messenger or Skype for mobiles hasn't added video support yet because if you're in a non 3G phone network (as in my case) the front camera is completely useless. You'll need a external memory card if you plan to use it as a MP3 player, the sound is great even thru the speaker!

The award-winning HTC TyTN 3G Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0-based Pocket PC phone, with its compact size and ultimate connectivity, is truly the complete mobile office solution. Roam anywhere in the world and use the phone's high speed Internet access, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. The TyTN gives you more control than ever over the way you work.
The TyTN lets you do things you'd typically need a PC to do, like email, text messaging, instant messaging and Web browsing--all from one integrated device. What's more, the phone's software is designed to sync seamlessly with email, contacts, and calendar information on your PC. The TyTN also offers great mobile music and video options, thanks to Windows Media Player. Other design features include a unique slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes messaging, note-taking, and other writing tasks a breeze.
DesignUnder the hood, the TyTN features 128MB of embedded memory and 64MB RAM, running on a 400 MHz Samsung processor. Up front, the 240 x 320 LCD touch-screen supports over 65,000 colors, while the rear of the device houses a 2.0 megapixel camera. The design of the TyTN is clean and uncluttered, with just a few buttons for mail, Internet Explorer, and contextual menus. Meanwhile, call answer and end buttons surround a five-way toggle that allows you to navigate and control the Windows Mobile interface. As mentioned, a full QWERTY keyboard cleverly slides out from underneath the screen. This allows you to hold the device horizontally, and the screen is automatically placed in landscape mode when you're using the keyboard. A side scroll wheel is conveniently tucked away on the side, making navigation when accessing the music player and other various applications a cinch when needed. The TyTN also features a small forward-facing camera for making video calls. A micro-SD memory expansion card slot is provided, as is an infrared port and support for a stereo Bluetooth headset. A mini-USB port is also included for wired data transfers and charging.
Calling and PDA FeaturesThe TyTN's phone and PDA functions are designed to provide an integrated, seamless experience. A single main screen summarizes all the important information you need to make it through the day. Here you'll get message notification, upcoming appointments, dialing functions, tasks, and more all in one spot.
As a phone, the TyTN features all the functionality folks expect from a cell phone, including a handsfree speakerphone, polyphonic ringtones, a vibrate mode, and picture and ringer ID. Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile combines email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes into a single application that seamlessly integrates with the HTC TyTN's phone functions. Meanwhile, headsets, car kits, and other wireless peripherals can also be paired with the unit via Bluetooth.
Staying productive on the road is made possible by the Microsoft Office Mobile suite, which includes Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and PowerPoint Mobile. Meanwhile, the File Explorer application makes it easy to browse the files on your HTC TyTN.
Messaging and InternetWith the TyTN, you can surf the Web with the bundled Internet Explorer application, or use MSN messenger to stay in contact via instant messaging. Plus, the inclusion of Wi-Fi capability in the TyTN allows you to surf the Web or check your email at blazing speeds when you're connected to a Wi-Fi network. No Wi-Fi network available? No worries; the TyTN is compatible with the latest generation of UMTS/HSDPA 3G data networks. And lastly, robust SMS and MMS functionality is built into the Windows Mobile interface.
One of the most important tools bundled with the TyTN is Microsoft ActiveSync, which allows you to quickly synchronize your device's tasks, calendars, email, and contacts with your desktop. You also get Exchange ActiveSync, an application that lets you synchronize data with an Exchange server. Syncing can be done via USB, or wirelessly via Bluetooth or infrared.
Imaging and EntertainmentAnother great feature of the TyTN is that it supports Windows Media playback right out of the box. With Windows Media Player, you can play streaming and downloaded video and audio content in a variety of formats. You can also keep your tunes loaded on a memory card and listen to your music wherever you roam.
As mentioned, the TyTN can take 2.0 megapixel pictures, and while the camera is great for taking stills, it can also function as a camcorder, allowing you to capture video to the unit's memory. An integrated media application organizes your captured photos and videos. For gamers, the phone supports Java-based and Windows Mobile games.
The TyTN also sports an airplane mode feature, which allows you to safely use the non-wireless functions of the phone (such as music, games or organizer functions) on an airplane during flight.
Vital StatisticsThe HTC TyTN weighs 6.21 ounces and measures 4.43 x 2.28 x 0.86 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 4 hours of digital talk time, and up to 200 hours of digital standby time.
